Creche

Our crèche service is available to all customers of the South West Sports Centre. It provides a caring environment for your children to enjoy themselves whilst you are making use of the facilities.

Please be advised our crèche is not a licensed child care service under the Children and Community Services Act 2004. It is a condition of use that parents must remain within the centre at all times whilst the children are attending creche.

To ensure a safe and quality visit, we have designed the following guidelines:

Operating hours are 8am – 12 noon Monday to Friday and 8am – 11.30am Saturday if there are no late bookings
Ages are 8wks – 5yrs Monday to Friday and 8wks – 7yrs on Saturdays
Snacks are fruit and veg only and a water bottle for older children. Please provide snacks cut and ready to go
Children under 1 can have a bottle(formula/breast milk) at any time. Children under 2 can only have a bottle for sleep time/comfort if strapped in pram
Parents must remain within the South West Sports Centre whilst children are in the crèche
Bookings are essential to secure a spot and must be made at least 24 hours prior to attendance. Please make only one booking at a time
An enrolment form must be completed for each child prior to their first crèche visit. Please provide a copy of anaphylaxis or asthma plans if needed
Children must be signed in on the attendance register and signed out on departure
Children can only be collected by the parent who signs them in, unless a prior arrangement has been made with staff
If your child has suffered a communicable disease, a doctors clearance is required before he/she can return to crèche
Should your child become distressed while in crèche all attempts will be made to settle him/her however, you may be requested to attend to your child
In the event of an emergency, staff will evacuate children from the danger area. Once all children are accounted for and in a safe location parents may collect their children. Please sign in and out correctly to assist us with this

Crèche bookings can be made by phoning the crèche direct line on (08) 9795 2246 and speaking to one of our friendly staff. To book after hours please call the crèche direct line and leave a detailed message on our answering machine.

To cancel your booking, please phone by 8.30 am on the day of your booking. Cancellations made after this time will be charged.

Please note that crèche does not operate on any day of a long weekend or public holidays.
